Hemoencephalography (HEG)

HEG is the study of blood flow in the brain. Specifically, it is the study of voluntarily controlled blood flow of oxygen in specifically chosen areas of the brain. Fresh blood brings oxygen and the basic nutrient glucose, at the life sustaining levels to all parts of the brain.

HEG Therapy is a procedure to bring more oxygenated blood to the brain. Oxygenated blood is red - deoxygenated blood is blue. The patient has sensors placed on specific locations on the head to enable them with feedback to bring more oxygenated blood (red) to areas that are not active enough. New capillaries are formed in this process, creating more perfusion to needed areas.

Disorders alleviated by HEG are those that have a physical etiology such as developmental, heriditary or injury, ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, Migraine, TBI, Toxic Encephalopathy, Epilepsy, Endogenous Depression, Aging Dimentia, Autism, Asbergers Syndrome, Schizophrenia, and perhaps Alzheimer's Disease.

Better Brain Care utilizes both available types of HEG. These are Near Infra-Red (NIR) and Passive Infra-Red (PIR).
